SO CAL OVAL KARTERS RELEASE 2018 SCHEDULE – ANNOUNCE NEW HOME TRACK!

(Camarillo, CA, December 14, 2017) The So Cal Oval Karters club has released its 2018 schedule and the news of a new home track for its 11th consecutive season of dirt track kart racing in Southern California.

The 12-race season will commence on April 7th and will conclude on November 10th on the brand-new SoCal Fair Motorcycle Speedway track on the SoCal Fair and Event Center in Perris.  All told, eight of the 12 races will be held at the new track which is just outside of turn four of the world-famous Perris Auto Speedway.   Two other races will be held at Perris Auto Speedway, including a road race on November 3rd, and two will be held at John Aden’s Wheel2Wheel Raceway on the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds in Victorville.

Interesting to note that five of the eight races at the new SoCal Fair Motorcycle Speedway will be on the same dates as races at Perris Auto Speedway.  The dates will give the club more exposure as fans can arrive early for The PAS races and walk 100 yards to watch the SCOK beforehand.  The twin dates on the fairgrounds will include three USAC/CRA Sprint Car races on June 23rd, September 22nd and the finals of the 23rd Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals presented by All Coast Construction on November 10th.  On the May 12th and July 21st dates, after the SCOK races fans will have the chance to see the PASSCAR Stock Car Series and IMCA Modifieds on the famous half-mile clay oval.

“I am really excited about the 2018 schedule,” SCOK President Mike Nigh said.  “A lot of our members wanted more races and more races close to home.  With eight races at the new SoCal Fair Motorcycle Speedway we can offer them that.  We also have races at Perris Auto Speedway and Wheel2Wheel Raceway where we have been racing for years.  I want to thank all the promoters – Don Kazarian, John Aden and Carl Wuersch – for allowing us to get the schedule done early so all our members can be ready for a busy 2018 season.”
